Katie Youn is a Korean-American filmmaker based in Los Angeles and Phoenix. Originally hailing from the greater Philadelphia area, her passion for filmmaking began in middle school  when she started making short films for class projects. Since then, she’s cultivated a community of student filmmakers through her 501(c)(3) non-profit organization called OTS Films Inc. She has gone on to direct multiple award-winning projects, (Reverie, Fall For Me Too, and ENGRAM) and have been featured on several local news sources like NBC10 Philadelphia.
Katie is currently pursuing a BFA in Film and Television Production at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. There, she has been able to collaborate with other innovative filmmakers to create KLBR Productions, a student-run production company focused on bringing raw, original, and humanistic stories to life. Her other undertakings include working for the USC School of Dramatic Arts as a video technician and serving as Asian Pacific Cinema Association’s 2024-2025 Co-Director of Productions.
When not working on film-related projects, you can catch her going to local art museums, creating Spotify playlists, or exploring the city.
